I was getting my twitter on (http://www.twitter.com/BlkSportsOnline) when this was brought to my attention.

The story is from Businesspundit.com and it spotlights the 25 Richest Athletes that went broke. Some of the list is predictable with the likes Mike Tyson, Travis Henry & Evander Holyfield on it. Then there are some surprises like Bjorn Borg and Sheryl Swoops.

People a lot of times are shocked when they hear an athlete has blown through 5, 10, 100 million dollars. I am never surprised and I am going to explain to you why.

What? Yeah yeah I know it isn't sports related, but it is my site and the joint is hot, so sue me.

#1 mistake Brandon Jennings made was being friends with Joe Budden. If you are going to be a NBA star you can definitely do better than Joe Budden as your "hip hop" buddy. Having Joe Budden as your Hip Hop sidekick just screams out you are destined to be the 9th man on an eight man rotation team.

#2 mistake and this is up for debate, but regardless if Jennings knew he was being taped or not you can't be recorded by a rapper who claim to fame is not his lyrics, but by putting his girl's ass on camera.

*Sidenote* I respect that hustle. Keep yourself in the spotlight anyway you can even if that means exploiting your girlfriend's booty.

I don't really have anything profound to say. I am as shocked as everyone else. It sports we talk about the difference between "great" players and "legendary" players. MJ was MJ way before Michael Jordan was MJ.

Shaq has played with some of the best players of our generation.

5- Lebron James

You would think with these types of wing men he should have more than four titles but I digress. Lets examine each relationship and then I will tell you why you should feel uneasy if you are a Cavs fan.

This Thursday, June 25th, the NBA and Sprite will crown the best dunker in New York City and you can help decide! We are setting up an outdoor basketball court outside Madison Square Garden. Open call for dunkers is at 9:30AM, and the actual showdown takes place at 11AM.

First off I refuse to call him Ricky Rubio. Sounds like an out of work porn star. From now on he will be Rick Rubio and if he was smart he would just change his name to Ravishing Rick Rubio and start doing this.

I knew it was going to happen it was just a matter of time. It always happens to the "ultra" good. It happened to Jordan, it happened to Wilt, it happened to Barkley, it happened to Stockton and Malone, it happened to Kobe (different reason) and etc.

When are spectacular good you start to be defined not by "stats", but by "Championships" and Lebron James is about to find out about this the hard way.

That's right I am going to be the next heavyweight Champion of the world. I am like the new Mike Tyson except for the fact that I don't have any formal training and I prefer not to bite people ears (unless she is cute). Beyond that I have to be better than these tomato cans that Wladimir Klitschko has been knocking out for the last four years.

Although most boxing betting fans were expecting to see two heavyweight boxing fights this month, after both fights broke up, they'll have to settle for one.

Ruslan Chagaev was set for his much-anticipated rematch with Nikolay Valuev in Helsinki, Finland, while Wladimir Klitschko was supposed to faceoff with David Haye.

Instead, Haye and Valuev will get cut out of the equation and Klitschko and Chagaev will square off.

Sammy Sosa did steroids.

In related news:

Michael Jackson is white.

And Chris Berman stopped being funny around 1999.

Let me start by saying I have no beef with Donte Stallworth or his legal team. His attorneys did what they were paid to do. They got him the best deal possible which will keep his NFL career intact. My problem is with our justice system and how it seems their priorities are mixed up.

I have an assignment for you. Go to any one of your friends who don't know anything about the NFL and never heard of Michael Vick or Donte Stallworth (it might be an old person, but do you best). Present them with the following scenarios.

I cannot deny I was one of many who thought Derek Fisher was hurting the Lakers more than helping them in the early rounds of the playoffs. I demanded that he be benched in favor of Shannon Brown or Jordan Farmer. When he clang his first five three pointers last night I echo those same sentiments that his permanent residence should be the bench.

Now we know why Phil Jackson has nine more rings (it is about to be ten) than I do. I think clutch is an overused and clichéd word. I think a better phrase would be "pressure handler". How does a player react when the pressure is turned up?

Very similar to what I said about JR Smith young athletes especially young black athletes have to be more aware.

"Make them accountable. There should be more credibility than some 42-year-old blogger typing in his mother's basement. It demeans everything you've done with one stroke of the pen."

Here is why a lot of people think athletes are dumb. Raul Ibanez was obviously PMSing at the time he began his rant against Jerod Morris of MidwestSportsFan.com. But Morris was correctly writing about how Ibanez's season should be under a microscope because of the "Steroid Era." Ibanez unintelligently refuted this by using a stereotypical statement about bloggers to defend what he believes was a stereotypical article about him.

As you can imagine Chad is a really interesting and updates frequently. Unlike a lot of athletes on Twitter he actually has conversations with his followers.

The media went a little overboard when Chad announced he was getting a Tattoo on his face. As you can see it is not "Tyson Worthy" it isn't even "Marbury Worthy".

Lil Wayne saw the Tattoo and was like:

"That's it?? I had that one when I was eight years old".

I was simply crushed when Mike Tyson's daughter Exodus had to be taken off life support and passed away a couple of weeks ago. Having a young daughter myself I could not imagine what type of trauma and hurt Mike was going through. Add on to the fact a lot of the media reporting the story did the unthinkable in including things about Mike's past that had no bearing to the tragedy at hand. You never get over something like that, but I was hoping Mike somehow some way was able to deal with it.

Mike Tyson is such a fascinating person that I find it amazing that he has even lived to be 42 years old. When I went and saw "The Hangover" (best comedy in years by the way) and there was Mike acting and acting well (his scenes are classics) I was thinking to myself I would have never imagine Mike doing this if you asked me five years ago.

Game 3 of the NBA Finals gives me an opportunity to go in detail about a phrase I use a lot, but never explained the true meaning of. It is called:

Kobe Bryant is one of the two most polarizing figures in sports (the other is Terrell Owens). There is absolutely no middle ground with people (media and fans) when it comes to Bean. Either there is extreme hate or extreme love.

Here is an example of what I mean. Last night while I was Twittering (http://www.twitter.com/BlkSportsOnline)I made this comment:

"I am only hard on Kobe because he is so great. But in the 2nd half he did not play well."

Pretty mundane statement consistent with what I was saying throughout the 2nd half (more on that later). I received ten replies to that statement five saying I was hater and five saying I was a Kobe lover. You are starting to understand what I am saying.

I promised myself I wasn't going to do this I said:

"Self, I will not allow you to write about Brett Favre. You have much bigger things to do. Don't waste your time. You are Robert Littal don't go there."

But one thing about this whole Brett Favre drama has been nagging me and no one is reporting it so I am just going to come out and say it:

Your fans are losing their minds, you coach looks like he rather be shooting his next porno than coaching and you looked like a deer in the headlights under the bright lights of LA, but all is not lost.
