Shaq, always the entertainer, has a new reality show set for August 18 on ABC that pits him against other top athletes in their own sports. According to the AZ Central,
Filming begins Wednesday in Pittsburgh, where Shaq takes on Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger in football. Future hourlong episodes will pit him against Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps, retired boxer Oscar De La Hoya, St. Louis Cardinals first baseman Albert Pujols, tennis pro Serena Williams and beach volleyball Olympians Misty May-Treanor and Kerri Walsh
While Shaq knows how to cater to the fans and he's currently in his honeymoon period with the Cavs, he also should realize these off the court antics also played a role in the Suns not making the playoffs last year. I'm sure Cavs fans are well aware of how their pregame rituals didn't help them land a ring last season either. Regardless this is a great concept especially in the dead period of TV known as the summer.

I'm a diehard cavs fan (can you be a diehard if you only kinda liked em before superman got there?) and I can tell you that I honestly don't care what he does up until March and April. The Cavs can get to the playoffs without shaq... they just need him in the spring when they try again to coronate the King.
