Magic Johnson + KFC + Michael Jackson = Instant Classic - Robert Littal Presents The Infamous BlackSportsOnline

Magic Johnson + KFC + Michael Jackson = Instant Classic

We get on Magic Johnson a lot, but always in a playful way because it is hard not to like Magic even when he is butchering the English language.

I thought he had the most memorable story from the Michael Jackson Memorial service at Staples Center (we will ignore why Kobe was there) today.

He told a story how MJ had invited him over to dinner to talk about being in the "Remember The Time" video. When the chef asked Magic what he wanted to eat he said "grilled chicken". If you were going to eat with Michael Jackson I would say grilled chicken would be a safe choice.

Magic just like everyone else probably assume that Michael would have some weird or strange dish. To Magic surprise and everyone listening to the story today when the Chef came back with Magic's grilled chicken he came back when some other chicken to.

A bucket of KFC for the King of Pop himself.

Just like in sports we always have to remember these celebrities and athletes are people too and it doesn't matter if you Michael Jackson the Pop star or Michael Jackson the call center employee who doesn't love a bucket of KFC?

Instant Classic.

That is the best story throughout this past couple weeks.

Why was Kobe there? Did he even know mike. I remember him calling mtv when he died. Did he even know mike?

Lebron Definitely wouldn't have tried to get in the spotlight

That was the funniest moment of the memorial. It gave everyone a much needed laugh. I wasnt sure why Kobe was there either but i dont think it does anyone any good to criticize him for being there. The man was just trying to pay his respects and theres nothing wrong with that.

I bet Kobe had his man, Mitch Kupchak write it in his contract.

This woeful situation ...

My immediate comment to my wife was that they'd be selling a lot of KFC last night, then added that even then, KFC owners/managers were prbably ordering in more chicken and more buckets. She thought I was crazy, but I don't!

Are you kidding me?? Did you know that Magic owns multiple KFC franchises and he did it for the advertising? Also MJ was a known vegan, so Magic showed his true intentions and sold out.
Magic = Fraud

Well, I guess now we know what killed Michael Jackson - Magic Johnson stated how much the King of Pop likes to eat KFC - the grease did his heart in!

A friend of mine works as a manager at the local KFC and he told me today that the restaurant was swamped. Best unintended advertising plug ever. Most industries would have paid billions to have a even a small plug on a show that was being watched by more people than watched the moon landing. KFC got it for free and was mentioned 5 times.

Michael Jackson loved his KFC. :)

Who says it was unintended? Magic has a long business relationship with KFC, and has appeared in ads for them before. Note that he keeps repeating the full name of the company - "Kentucky Fried Chicken" - in his little speech.
