Sometimes, professional athletes are very intelligent. Sometimes, they are quite the opposite. Take ex-NBA journeyman for example, Corie Blount. Having played on seven teams in eleven years in the NBA, Blount was considered one of those hustle guys that would just go out there and get rebounds for you. In his career, he never averaged 20 minutes on the floor. Back in December, Blount was arrested when 11 pounds of marijuana was intercepted en route to Blount.
Blount cited that the eleven pounds was for personal use for him and his friends. (Perfect). "Cheech and Chong would have had a hard time smoking that much," Judge Craig Hedric told Blount.
Blount will spend one year in prison, was fined Blount $10,000 and ordered him to surrender two vehicles and $34,000 in cash seized in the bust.
