According to Deadspin.com, Matt Millen is expected to replace Emmitt Smith on Monday Night Countdown this fall.
According to one source, Millen will take the spot once occupied by the comically incompetent Smith, adding color and pregame/halftime/post-game analysis with Stu Scott
Other shakeups include Adam Schefter joining ESPN as well while Len Pasquerelli is out the door.
Regardless of how awful a GM Matt Millen was with the Lions, he was always a good color guy at least from what I remember from his CBS days. So in that regard he's a serious upgrade. But given how he has ruined what good name he had as the Lions GM I wouldn't expect people to be so eager to embrace him. Fortunately for him Detroit is not hosting any MNF games this Fall....

He's a good on TV, I see no problem with it. Some ppl try to make the argument that just b/c he was a bad GM that he shouldn't have anything to do with football ever, let's be real he wasn't the only one that had say in those decision.
Horrible
this reminds me of when Ryan Leaf, a bigger flop than even Akili Smith, got hired as a quarterbacks coach by West Texas A&M.
