I am going to tell you something that you already know but are scared to say. I am going to tell you something that every major sports media outlet know but are scared to say. I am going to tell you something about a person that deep down in his heart he knows but is scared to say.
Yeah I said it and it is true. Doesn't matter what John Madden says, what ESPN says or what LT says he is done as an elite running back in the NFL. You don't have to an NFL expert to see either. It is so obvious that I wonder about the motivation of people who still say he has some juice left. It has been a steady decline over the past two years to the point now Tomlinson is just an average back who is being paid like the best back in the game.
Let me be clear I am not saying LT Is done being a good back in the NFL. You can be an older "good" back. He probably has three to four good years left, but he will never again be an elite back in the league.
His breakaway speed: GONE
His ability to explode through the hole: GONE
His ability to make the first tackler miss: GONE
His ability to stay healthy: GONE
One thing that hasn't left is LT's ability to cry like a little girl when things aren't going his way. Here are quotes from a Sports Illustrated article discussing the possibility of him being traded.

I know every team has a right to make trades and all this stuff, but I just think it's ridiculous to be talking about this, to have this stuff in the media when this could be handled behind closed doors and in a professional way. Now I have people calling me, talking about this all the time; this has become a big story and I don't want this."
There are so many things wrong with these quotes I am going to break it down almost line by line.
First what you do in the "community" has nothing to do with on field performance. You do things in the community because you want to help people not because you think it is going to help your job security. By the way you should never describe yourself as the "BEST" this is for other people to decide.
Secondly God has a lot more things to worry about that your feelings about being traded. You are rich and famous. I highly doubt what is happening to you should ever be referred to as a "crucifixion". Considering our economy is crashing, our unemployment rate is skyrocketing and we are fighting not one but two wars you whining about being "crucified" reeks of you being a "drama queen".
Nothing is ridiculous about trading a player on the downside of his career. There is nothing ridiculous about getting rid of a whiner and a baby who walks around with a sense of entitlement. The fact that he claims he is offended about the media coverage when he is the one talking to the media just shows how self absorb Tomlinson is.
Personally I would cut him. Even in a trade NFL insiders say at best the Chargers get a second day pick, so it easier in my opinion to cut the cord as oppose to have another Shaun Alexander situation. Just get rid of him and let "Mr. Class" whine somewhere else.

You forgot to mention how his numbers tanked when the chargers said goodbye to Lorenzo Neal. Don't forget,a running back is only as good as his blockers.LT is a good back but he would have never become a elite back without Lorenzo Neal. Without a good fullback I agree, he will not reach elite status again.
It is no secret I do not like when religion is brought into the relm of sports. In essence what he is saying that he is being treated unfairly. If you want to say that just say no need to bring GOD into it. Does that mean that GOD doesn't like the GM of the chargers.

You know Robert again you hit the nail on the head. LT was over as soon as Lorenzo Neal got on that plane to Baltimore. That was yet another bonehead offseason management decision by one of the crappiest team managers in AJ Smith. The other idiotic move was firing Shottenheimer for no apparent reason.
Now Back to LT:
LT is a crybaby and he is full of himself. He is a perfect compliment to that loud-mouth punk Philip Rivers. IF the chargers were smart (and they AINT) then they would shop LT around to see if any other team is dumb to take him in exchange for a 1st round draft pick or a pass-rushing defensive lineman. But no, Aj Smith is not a genius, he's not even mildly retarded. The chargers will let Darren Sproles out, hold on to Tomlinson, do nothing to bolster that garbage defensive front 7, and march into next season head-on into more failed expectations.
hmm, it seems as if all roads to the chargers failure lead to Aj Smith.
Reports no one is willing to give up more than a 4th round draft pick for LT with the ability to go higher depending on production clauses.
