AFC Championship Recap: Baltimore Ravens 14 vs. Pittsburgh Steelers 23

Before I get to the game my thoughts and prayers are with Willis McGahee and his family I hope he ok.

WATCH HIGHLIGHTS OF THE GAME HERE:

It was just too much to ask a rookie Quarterback to go on the road and win in Pittsburgh. Joe Flacco has not played well in the previous two games, but he didn't turn the ball over and he didn't get sack. When you have a defense like the Baltimore Ravens sometimes that is all you need to do. I think everyone knew for the Ravens to win Flacco would have to play out of his mind and it was obvious from the beginning that wasn't going to happen.

Even though he was playing horribly the Ravens defense did what they always do and kept them in the game. It was 16-14 when Flacco made the mistake that cost the Ravens the game his interception to Troy Polamalu. There will be better days for Flacco, but it wasn't his time.

WATCH TROY POLAMALU TAKE IT TO THE HOUSE

It can be argued that the Steelers played the hardest schedule in the history of the NFL and the result is a Super Bowl appearance. You are talking about a complete team right now. Defense, offense and special teams this is no fluke. That was a heavyweight fight of Ali-Frazier proportions and in the end it was the Ravens who got knocked out.
