Call the Arizona Cardinals proactive. With the big game on the horizon, the Super Bowl underdogs are trying to make sure their core is intact going into next season. Their superstar wide receiver wants to make sure that fellow big play receiver Anquan Boldin will return as a Cardinal next season to continue their tenure as the NFL's best receiving duo.
Larry Fitzgerald, beside that incident with his baby mama, is a stand up guy. He has been instrumental is getting to the team to this point, but its his Front Office moves that make him a cut above the rest.
Fitzgerald is wiling to restructure the extension he signed (4 year, $40 million) in order to keep Boldin on the team. Boldin has voiced his displeasure with the Cardinals for not giving him the deal he feels he deserves. Whether or not Boldin tests the market remains to be scene, but the gesture is still noble. If everything goes Fitzgerald's way, his team-first approach could pay off for the Cardinals and continue to strengthen Fitzgerald's position as the anti-diva.
I could go on and on about how Fitzgerald is cut from a different clothe from the prima donna receivers in the league, but his actions speak louder than my words ever will!
