The two Klitschko brothers are now champions of the Heavyweight Division at the same time. No matter how bad the division is, you still have to go against 250 lb men, most of which have been boxing since they were teenagers. History has shown us that anyone who takes a square hit to the jaw can be knocked out.
But younger brother Wladimir hasn't lost in 4 years and Vitali came back after a long layoff and embarrassed the supposedly intimidating Sam Peter, who was as overhyped as they come. Wladimir has knocked out Calvin Brock, Ray Austin, Tony Thompson, and now Hasim Rahman. He won a very easy, very boring decision in Madison Square Garden against Sultan Ibragimov. Regardless of what you think, each of those men would destroy everyone reading this article. In short order. With no debates. And without breaking a sweat.
So as much as you may not like to, it's time to give the Klitschko's their props. If you have children and both of them become heavyweight champs at the same time, you've had some pretty special kids. Don't hold your breath though, this is the first and last time something like this will ever happen. It's that out of the ordinary.
The Klitschko's aren't going to lose anytime soon, so if you aren't a fan I suggest you stop watching heavyweight boxing until around 2011 or so. Maybe then their skills will have deteriorated enough that their might be some competition. This is pure domination we're seeing. The boxers that enter the ring against either Klitschko are scared. They don't even think they can win, they just go and take their beatings and get knocked out. It's like Jordan in his heyday; the other opponents have no chance and usually end up quitting rather than be given their mandatory nap time.
No one can take a long layoff in boxing and come back and dominate. Vitali did, against the "Nigerian Nightmare". Not a very appropriate nickname...how about Sam "I'm a Lamb Going to Slaughter". David Haye's talking noise but he got knocked out by a 40 year old cruiserweight. Vitali will close his mouth emphatically. Don't be surprised to see Haye working at 7-11 next year.
So jump on the bandwagon...you guys jump on every other bandwagon so you may as well take a ride and watch history take its course. As much as the 2 brothers are criticized, at least you'll get to see knock outs instead of watching Mayweather win a decision against Carlos Baldomir. This is a great article if boxing was even relevant. The heavyweight division is horrible. Most of the big money fights are boring. I realy believe boxing needs to change some rules to compete with MMA. Boxing fights should end with KO, TKO, or by throwing in the towel. I am tried of seeing all the clutching and grabbing. If these boxers knew they had to give it their all to win we would see much better fights.
There is only one Ricky Hatton and there is only one heavyweight decision and it sucks.

Honestly the heavyweight division has had any excitement since Tyson got busted for not raping that women and that is damn near 15 years ago now.
It will take a Tyson like figure to bring the Heavyweight division back.
Lenox Lewis, Riddick Bowe, Holyfield, Klitiscko just don't have or didn't have the right personalities to carry the heavyweight division.
I think in our lifetime one is coming.
