Two things in my opinion changed things forever for Donovan McNabb.
1- When he blew the Super Bowl.
2- He let T.O. leave the building over his ego.
My thoughts on Donovan McNabb are well documented. He has been a very good quarterback over his years in Philly, but the fact of the matter behind the scenes there are a lot of people in his own locker room who don't believe he was ever the leader he needed to be. Too many times he sided with management over the players. Too many times he came up short in big games. He is the reason that Terrell Owens is not in Philadelphia anymore. Since T.O. left the building he has made the playoffs every year in Dallas, while the Eagles have only made it once. The facts are the facts.
The writing is on the wall. I think he can still be successful in the NFL, but not with the Eagles. The trust isn't there anymore. The look on his face during the 2nd half of the Ravens game after he was benched was of a man who is defeated. A man who feels like he has been stabbed in a back by a coach he felt had his back. A man who knows his days are numbered. A fresh started is needed for everyone.
Simply put it is over.
