Here is the reality of the situation. The Cincinnati Bengals are looking for scapegoats. The management is horrible, the coaching is suspect and the players lack the desire, talent and intensity to win. The Bengals for years have passed off their problems on players in hopes that the bias mainstream media will focus on the player be it Carl Pickens or Corey Dillon rather the bigger problem of the Bengals being one of the worse run franchises in the history of sports in the last two decades.
This brings me to Chad Johnson aka Ocho Cinco. I don't care what you have heard from the start of training camp he has been a model player. He hasn't complained, he has stayed positive and even though the Bengals have fazed him out of the offense he hasn't had a blow up.
There are conflicting reports of what caused him to be deactivated for the Thursday night game against the Steelers. Some are reporting a scuffle while others are reporting he overslept for a meeting. It doesn't really matter it is obvious while Chad does shoulder some of the blame that the Bengals are trying to make him there latest scapegoat for their horrible season.
If the reports about the oversleeping are true the Bengals should be ashamed of themselves. Oversleeping? I am sure if that was Carson Palmer nothing would have happened. Chad is not the reason the Bengals are garbage he is one of the few bright spots on the team. If he wasn't on the squad I don't think the NFL could sale more that 10 Bengals jerseys all year. Ironically when all these so called malcontents go to other teams they shine brightly now that they are away from the losing atmosphere. The Bengals are pathetic they need to deactivate themselves from the NFL.
