As soon as USC loss to Oregon State I marked in my handy dandy notepad:
"The BCS is BS"
The reason being I can already see what is going to happen before it even happens. There will be multiple one loss teams at the end of the year that will be bitching and moaning that they didn't get their chance to play for the "Fictional" National Championship. Normally I don't condone bitching and moaning, but in this case it would be warranted for all parties involved including the fans of those teams.
Just imagine a 1-loss USC team being picked over a 1-loss SEC Team. If you don't think it can happen you haven't being paying attention to college football over the last decade. Someone is going to get screwed and more importantly the fans are going to get screwed by not having a real playoff system in place.
I guarantee you by the end of the year there will be 5-10 one loss or two loss teams who believe they are the best team in the country and unfortunately we won't have a way to determine that on the field. Yeah that's fair.
