The soap opera overtaking the NFL to the point we might as well call it the National Favre League, has taken another turn. On Sunday, as I was watching the Hall of Fame game to cheer on my Colts in what was nothing but a mere exhibition game, they kept continuously interrupting the telecast with Favre's plane landing in Green Bay. With the coverage that was getting, you would think the President arrived. But no, it's Brett Favre who was going to be reinstated by Roger Goodell and added to the Green Bay roster.
There was supposed to be an open competition between Brett Favre and Aaron Rodgers. That, however, never happened because Brett Favre met with the Packers about his future and Brett said that he didn't want to compete with Aaron for the starting gig. So now, Aaron Rodgers is the starter of the Green Bay Packers, for now at least.
Apparently Brett and the Packers are at a stalemate and it looks like for now he's going to be traded since they are at a stalemate. Frankly at this point, I hope they send Brett Favre to Siberia because the NFL is being hijacked by this soap opera. There are other teams and players far more interesting and talented to cover, but no, they are all taking a backseat to Favre.
I don't care how this ends. Just let this end. This is truly the worst Madden Curse EVER! Of course with Favre he could change his mind entirely and accept the backup gig by the time you finish reading this post.

Just make it stop please
ditto
LOl @ the Madden curse taking on a whole new meaning! ^5 That's good.
Thank you this whole thing is bizarre.
