The Bottom Line... Manu Has To Step Up

The Spurs are on the ropes against Hollywood. Tim Duncan is doing all he can do, living up to being the best power forward to ever play the game. If the Spurs are going to make this a war, Manu Ginobili has to play up to the billing. I thought a certain little man out of Denver got robbed when Manu was named the shooting guard on the All-NBA 3rd team. Not only is Ginobili suppose to be the 2nd best player on the team, he's an all-star. So with all of his ability, why is he going 2 for 8 from the floor in 36 minutes playing alongside of Tim Duncan in a critical game 4? Unacceptable.

When myself and others picked the Spurs to make it to the finals and get by the Lakers, we assumed that Ginobili would be playing somewhere close to how he did in game 3, that along with the consistently dominant Timmy would be too much for Bean and L.A. In all likelyhood this is San Antonio's last run to close the book on their dynasty with another 'chip. Because we all know with a healthy Andrew Bynum next season, the Lakers will be close to unbeatable. Missed calls by refs and all, the Spurs didn't play well enough to even up the series. Which leads to the bottom line, if they're to even attempt to make this interesting they'll need Manu to 'go hard and be a beast like any All-League player should be.
